    Retinal Vasculitis: A Case Study

    Get PDF
Purpose: To describe a case of idiopathic retinal vasculitis. Methods: Case report and literature review. Case: A healthy 25-year-old female presented with a one-week history of a large floater in her right eye. Patient’s subjective complaint of floaters, including the scotoma on VF and the FA findings were most consistent with retinal vasculitis displaying predominant venous involvement. However, findings for acute macular neuroretinopathy and multiple evanescent white dot syndrome (MEWDS) were present as well. Autoimmune and infectious disease panels were negative. Neuro consult and brain MRI showed nonspecific, non contributory findings. Several weeks later, following Medrol dose pack, patient reported significantly improved visual field and this was consistent with improved clinical and diagnostic findings. Conclusion: Although cases of retinal vasculitis have been linked to infectious, neoplastic, systemic and autoimmune diseases, idiopathic cases can present concurrently with other retinopathies

Covid-19 is also a wide spreading infective agent disease that infects humans. A clinical study of COVID-19 infected patients has shown that these kinds of patients are square measure principally infected from a respiratory organ infection when come in contact with this disease. Chest xray (i.e., radiography) a less complicated imaging technique for identification respiratory organ connected issues. Deep learning is that the foremost undefeated technique of machine learning, that provides helpful analysis to review an oversize quantity of chest x-ray pictures which may critically impact on screening of Covid-19. Throughout this work, we have taken the PA read of chest x-ray scans for covid-19 affected patients conjointly as healthy patients. We have used deep learning-based CNN models and compared their performance. We have equate ResNeXt models and inspect their precision to investigate the model presentation, 6432 chest x-ray scans samples square measure collected from the Kaggle repository. This work solely core on potential ways of cluster covid-19 infected patients

Bilateral, Elongated Styloid Process in A Dry Skull; its Clinical Implications: A Case Report

The styloid process of temporal bone is a slender, elongated, conical bony projection that lies anteromedial to the mastoid process. Its length normally varies from 2-3 cm, and a styloid process longer than 3 cm is found in 4 to 7% of the population. During the routine osteological study of the skull, we came across a skull with bilateral elongated styloid process. The length of the process on the right side was 5.3cm and on the left 5.2cm and the thickness around the base was 1cm bilaterally. The elongated styloid process is recognised as one of the causes of pain in the cranio-cervical region and is one of the causes of Eagle’s syndrome. Eagle syndrome, or elongated styloid process syndrome, is associated with such symptoms as chronic facial and neck pain, dysphagia, tinnitus, referred pain in the ear, glossopharyngeal neuralgia, orbital pain, and radiating pain in the maxillary regions, which worsen when the head rotates or the tonsillar fossa region is palpated. Awareness about an elongated styloid process is important for otolaryngologists, radiologists, surgeons and dentists

TradeChain: Decoupling Traceability and Identity in Blockchain enabled Supply Chains

    No full text
Blockchain technology can provide immutability, provenance and traceability in supply chains. To utilize Blockchain's full potential, it is important to link supply chain events to the relevant entities for traceability and accountability purposes. Authorized participation is realised through consortium of various organisations. Transactions are verified by peer nodes pertaining to the consortium. Hence, privacy preservation of trade sensitive information such as trade flows and locations of production, storage and retail sites cannot be ascertained. In this work, we propose a privacy-preservation framework, TradeChain, which decouples the trade events of participants using decentralised identities. TradeChain adopts the Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) principles and makes the following novel contributions: a) it incorporates two separate ledgers: a public permissioned blockchain for maintaining identities and the permissioned blockchain for recording trade flows, b) it uses Zero Knowledge Proofs (ZKPs) on traders' private credentials to prove multiple identities on trade ledger and c) allows data owners to define dynamic access rules for verifying traceability information from the trade ledger using access tokens and Cipher Policy Attribute-Based Encryption (CP-ABE). A proof of concept implementation of TradeChain is presented on Hyperledger Indy and Fabric and an extensive evaluation of execution time, latency and throughput reveals minimal overheads. </p
